Privacy notice for Edivo accounts
This notice covers the Edivo account you sign in with during the private beta. The beta sign-up list on the home page has its own short note there.
Your videos stay on your computer
Edivo edits on your own computer. Your footage, projects and exports are not uploaded to us. AI editing is not switched on in this beta yet; before it is, this notice will say exactly what an AI request sends and to whom, and the app will ask you first.
What we keep when you have an account
- Your email address (and any extra address you add), and when you confirmed it.
- Your sign-ins: the device name the app shows (for example “Edivo on Windows”), when each session started and was last used. A session ends after 90 days at most, or when you sign out.
- The terms and privacy versions you accepted, and whether you asked for product news.
- A security log of sign-ins, sign-outs and account changes. It holds a scrambled code instead of your IP address, so we can spot repeated abuse without keeping the address itself.
Sign-in codes are stored only as a one-way fingerprint and stop working after a few minutes. We use no advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.
Who else handles it
- Our server runs at Hetzner in Germany. Your account data is stored there.
- Resend delivers the sign-in emails. It receives your address and the email itself, only to deliver it.
Payments are not part of the beta. This notice will be updated before paid plans start.
Your choices and rights
- You can download a copy of your account data from the app at any time.
- You can delete your account from the app. It is removed 14 days later; you can cancel within those days.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@edivo.ai. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Who is responsible
Edivo is responsible for this data. Contact hello@edivo.ai. We will tell you in the app or by email before we change this notice in a way that matters.
The email lists on this website
These notes cover the email lists you can join on edivo.ai. They are separate from the account notice above.
The launch list and the Mac list
We store your email address, which list you joined (the Windows launch or the Mac version), the page you joined from and the date. We use them only to send you that one email.
We delete your address once that email is sent, or sooner when you ask. Until then it stays on our own server in Germany, and we never sell it. To send the email we use an email delivery service, which gets your address only to deliver it. Your IP address is used only to limit repeated sign-ups and is not stored with your email.
Joining is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Edivo is responsible for these lists. To ask a question, withdraw your consent or have your address deleted, email hello@edivo.ai.
The beta list, from the earlier coming-soon page
Privacy: we store your email address, the date you signed up and which boxes you ticked. We use them only to invite you to the beta and, if you ticked the second box, to send you news about Edivo such as the launch.
We keep your address until the beta ends, or delete it sooner when you ask. It stays on our own server in Germany, and we never sell it or share it with anyone. Your IP address is used only to limit repeated sign-ups and is not stored with your email.
Edivo is responsible for this list. To ask a question, withdraw your consent or have your address deleted, email hello@edivo.ai.
