Content rules and AI labels

Summary of the acceptable use policy. What you do in the editor on your own computer is up to you and the law; these rules matter most where our service and AI providers are involved.

Not allowed with the AI

Do not make or edit
Sexual content involving anyone under 18We report it to the authorities
Intimate images of a real person without consentIncluding made or changed ones
Fake footage of real people presented as realTo deceive, harass, defraud, damage, or mislead about an election
Threats, harassment, hate, violence, self-harm, extremismIncluding attacks on people for who they are
Anything else illegal where you are or publish

Be open about AI

  • If you publish AI-made or AI-changed images, sound or video of real people, places or events that could be taken for real, say so. Many countries require it, including the EU from 2 August 2026.
  • The AI editor edits your own footage, so the exported video has no AI label of its own.
  • AI-made images, voices and music (only if you allow them) are labelled AI-made in Media and AI image, AI voice or AI music on the timeline. Dub voices are labelled AI voice too. See Dub a language.
  • A video or sound file you export with any of these says so in its metadata, and so does a cover or picture you save as PNG or JPG. Some sites remove metadata when you upload, so say so in your post too.

Rights

Your own footageYou need the right to use it, and permission from people in it where the law requires
Music, fonts, logosOnly use what you may
Stock footageComes from Pexels or Pixabay under their licences. The app shows the licence for every clip
Edivo's own music, sounds, fonts, titles and effectsMay be used in videos you make with Edivo, also commercial. Not sold or shared on their own
7 more details
  • A stock licence gives no permission from the people, brands, logos or buildings a clip shows. Do not use a clip in a trademark, or suggest a person or brand supports you.
  • Do not create several accounts for more than one trial, share or sell your account, or get around credit limits. Do not use the service to build a competing AI model or service, or to extract our prompts.
  • If a rule is broken, we may refuse a request, limit AI use, or suspend or end an account. We use the lightest measure that fits, tell you why, and look at your objection again. The editor on your computer keeps working.
  • We do not watch what you make. We look at an account only when the service shows a technical problem or abuse, or when someone reports it.
  • Our AI provider may refuse requests that break its rules, and the app then tells you.
  • The AI can be wrong. You decide what to keep and you are responsible for what you publish.
  • Report an AI result: Report this AI result under it in the chat. Other content or behaviour: the misuse report form.
