What the labels mean
| Label on a clip | What happened |

| File missing | The file was moved, renamed or deleted |
| File out of reach | Its drive or folder is not connected. Connect it again |
Find the file
- Select the clip.
- Press Find file.
- Choose the same file in its new place.
Only the exact original is accepted. If it is a different file, Edivo says it is not the original. To use a different file, press Replace.
Check the whole project
- Open Project settings › Files.
- Press Scan files. It says how many files are here and which are not.

- A clip may keep playing from its playback copy while the original is missing, but an export needs the original. Find file is in the clip's actions.
- Exporting with a missing file: the export sheet lists the files and offers Find files. It starts again once they are found.
- Keep your own backups of footage that matters. Edivo can save a project and its media as one file: Project › Save a backup file….
- Edivo never deletes your original files, also not when you delete a project.
