What uses credits
| What | Credits |
|---|---|
| Editing, captions from speech, export and the tools on this computer | Free, no watermark, no account |
| AI edits: Make my video and the chat | Uses credits. New accounts get a free 14-day trial, once per person, in some countries: see Try the AI free |
| AI-made images, voices and music | Credits, at what the model really costs. Only when you allow them; a step of 10 credits or more asks first, unless the edit fits your amount below |
Check the cost
- The line under the box on the Start screen and in the chat shows about N credits.
- After each edit, the chat says what it spent.
- Settings › Plan and credits shows your plan, your credits and Recent activity: what each AI edit used.
- Credits held for a running edit that it does not use come back.
Set your limit
- Open Settings › Plan and credits.
- Under Your limit per edit, find Ask me first when an edit needs more than.
- Pick an amount. Edits up to it start when you send them; a bigger one asks you once.
| Choice | Means |
|---|---|
| A smaller amount | Asks more often |
| N credits (your plan's amount) | The usual |
| Never (up to my credit balance) | Never asks. Not offered during a trial |
Allow paid extras within that amount (shown when you pick an amount) lets AI-made images and voice-overs use up to 30% of an edit's amount without asking. Off: they need your OK in Project settings. Music always needs its own permission there.
Quicker: on a paid step in the chat, Make it, and don't ask again below N credits a video sets this amount for you, with Undo. See When the AI waits for you.
When credits run out
- The AI stops at your limit, keeps what it built as a draft, and asks what to do. The credits used until then are spent.
- You can Add credits and Continue, or Stop and keep the draft.
- If you don't answer a paid step within 60 seconds, it is skipped: a timer never spends credits.
- Edit it myself still works, and your description is kept in the project.
4 more details
- A plan's credits come each month, also on a yearly plan, and end when that month ends: unused plan credits don't carry over. Extra credits you buy last 12 months from the day you buy them and stay usable after your plan ends, as long as you keep your account. See Credit packs and expiry.
- If an AI request fails through a fault on our side, its credits are given back. Tell hello@edivo.ai if that did not happen.
- Undoing an AI change does not return its credits.
