Export your video

Exports are made on this computer and need no account or credits.

Steps

  1. Press Export at the top, or Ctrl+E. The button is named after where the video goes, for example Export for TikTok.
  2. Check the folder under Where is it going? To pick another one, press Browse….
  3. Choose Captions: Drawn in, Separate file or Leave out.
  4. Press Export. Keep editing while it runs: the file uses the video as it was when you pressed Export.
  5. When it is done, press Show in folder or Play. Make a cover there makes a thumbnail for the post.

  • The arrow next to Export opens More ways to export: Captions file, Sound only and Make a cover (a thumbnail; see Make a cover). Advanced adds Custom export and Export in to out.
  • Advanced mode: Ctrl+Shift+E opens Custom export: format, size (480p to 4K), frame rate, quality and loudness. Save as preset… keeps your choice.
  • Cancel export stops an export and saves nothing.
  • Every export keeps its loudest peaks at −1 dB (true peak). Edivo checks the finished file and, if a peak is over, makes the sound again with a limiter, so platforms don't distort it.
  • A file with the same name is kept: the new one gets a number.
  • If the video's shape does not suit the place, Edivo asks whether to fit it or make a version in the right shape. See Vertical video.
  • Edivo does not post for you. That keeps your accounts private.
