Make a cover (thumbnail)

Make one

Press the arrow next to Export › Make a cover. After an export, the finished card has Make a cover too.
The cover opens in the editor with the Cover tab on the left. It starts on the strongest frame of your video.
Change what you like (see below).
Press Download for YouTube (or your platform) at the top right. You get a JPG under 2 MB. For a PNG, use the button's menu.
Press Back to your video at the top left. The cover stays saved.

The Cover tab

Platform	YouTube, TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Edivo guesses it from your video's shape. A vertical platform keeps the person in the middle

Frames	Strong frames from your video. Click one to make it the background. + puts it on top. More moments finds others

Cut out a person	Puts the person on their own layer. Then Add text behind puts the words behind them
Post text	Title, caption and hashtags for the post, with counters and Copy buttons

AI images lets the AI add a made-up picture as a layer. It uses credits and is off until you switch it on. A cover you save with an AI-made picture says so in the file's metadata. Models and terms lists the models and their makers' terms.

Your covers

Once a video has covers, the menu next to Export says Covers. Open, download or move a cover to the trash there, or make another.
Moved one to the trash by mistake? Press Undo in the list straight away, or restore it later from Projects › Trash.

Frames, the cut-out and the download are made on this computer and use no credits. Only Make it with AI does.
Guides in the pill under the cover show where the platform covers or crops the picture: the video length corner on YouTube, the profile grid on the others.
The cut-out can miss on a busy picture. Hide its layer, or press Ctrl+Z. Cut out again always starts from the frame, also with the cut-out selected.
Advanced: the inspector's Shape on a cover is the platform list, each with its size.
A cover is a picture: it has no timeline, music or sound.
Edivo does not post for you. Upload the picture yourself; for TikTok and Shorts you set it in TikTok Studio or YouTube Studio.
