Song too short, or no steady beat?
The panel says why, shows both lengths ("Song 0:12.0 · Video 1:23.3") and offers What you can do instead:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Loop until the video ends | Repeats the song until the video ends, then fades out: "Plays 7 times, then fades out at the end of the video." |
| Fade out where the song ends | Keeps the song once and fades it out at its own end |
| Fade out where the video ends | For a song longer than the video: ends it with a fade where the video ends |
Each is one Undo step, and the result line has Undo.
6 more details
- The song keeps where it starts and its own ending. With Keep intro on, it starts from the song's beginning.
- It needs a steady beat and a song at 1× speed. Add volume keyframes after fitting. If no exact fit exists, it makes a close fit and says how far off it is.
- One Ctrl+Z undoes the whole fit.
- With Selection, the buttons say Loop until the selection ends and Fade out where the selection ends, and stop there.
- Loop until the video ends refuses more than 100 repeats.
- Songs with a steady beat also give snapping points (beats) while you drag. See Timeline basics.
